Prof. Jasminka Rizovska – Atanasovska

Full Professor


Prof. Jasminka Rizovska Atanasovska graduated at the Faculty of Forestry in Skopje in 1984. She obtained her MSc degree in Forestry sciences in 1996 at the Faculty of Forestry in Skopje, entitled: “Representation of alochtonous decorative dendroflora in Skopje and vicinity”. In 1999 she was awarded PhD degree in Forestry sciences at the Faculty of Forestry in Skopje entitled: “Alochtonous decorative dendroflora in urban areas of different climate-vegetation areas in the Republic of Macedonia”.

She was employed at the Faculty of Forestry in Skopje as teaching assistant of “Parks with environmental protection” in 1990. After her MSc graduation in 1996, she was promoted to assistant, and after her PhD graduation in 1999 she was awarded the title of assistant professor. In 2004 she became associate professor, while she is full professor since 2009.

Today she is full professor and lecturing the following subjects: “Design of parks and green areas”; “Elements of park design”; “Floriculture”; “History of park architecture”, “Urban greenery” (undergraduate studies) and “Planning and designing green areas”; “Selected chapters of floriculture”; “Park architecture 2”; “History of park architecture 2”, “Urban forestry” (on the postgraduate level of studies).
