Prof. Jane Acevski

Full Professor


Prof. Dr. Jane Acevski graduated at the Faculty of Forestry in Skopje in 1986. He obtained his MSc degree in Forestry sciences in 1996 at the Faculty of Forestry in Skopje, for his thesis: “Dendrofloristic characteristics of northern slopes of Karadzica”. In 2000 he was awarded PhD degree in Forestry sciences at the Faculty of Forestry in Skopje, defending the thesis entitled: “Dendrofloristic characteristics of the mountain massif Galichica”.

He was employed as teaching assistant of “Dendrology” and “Forest tree improvement” in 1992. After obtaining his MSc degree in 1996 he was elected as assistant, while after his PhD promotion in 2000 he was awarded title of assistant professor. In 2005 he was promoted to associate professor and in 2010 he became full professor.

He is head of the Department of Botany and dendrology, responsible for leacturing the following subjects: “Dendrology”; “Phytocenology” and “Poisonous, medicinal and edible plants” (undergraduate studies) and “Dendrology 2”; “Phytocenology 2”; “Poisonous, medicinal and edible plants 2”; and “Typology of forests and pastures”; (on the postgraduate level of studies).
