Prof. Dr.sc Vlatko Andonovski graduated at the Faculty of Forestry in Skopje in 1992. He obtained MSc degree in Forestry sciences in 1996 at the Faculty of Forestry in Skopje, defending his thesis: “Adaptive cability of some of some introduced forest tree species in the Republic of Macedonia”. In 2002 he was awarded PhD degree in Forestry sciences at the Faculty of Forestry in Skopje for his thesis entitled: “Genetic variability of the European black pine (Pinus nigra Arn.) provenances in the Republic of Macedonia”.

In 1999 he was employed as teaching assistant of “Forest genetics and tree improvement”. After his earning his PhD in 2002 he was awarded the title of assistant professor, and in 2013 he was promoted to associate professor. In the period from 2005 to 2009 he was member of the Council of Municipality Karpos in Skopje. In the years 2013 – 2016 he held the function of Vice Dean at the Faculty of Forestry in Skopje.

Today he is full professor lecturing the following subjects: “Forest genetics and improvement of forest trees and ornamental plants”; “Bonsai and miniature gardens”; “Garden design and landscape aesthetics”; (undergraduate studies), and “Forest genetics”; “Tree improvement 2”; “Improvement of decorative plants”; “Introduction of forest trees and decorative plants”; “Landscape design”; “Genetic engineering” and “Gene conservation” (on the postgraduate level of studies).
