Landscaping and Improvement of the Environment

The Landscaping and Improvement of the Environment study program of the second cycle of studies at the Hans Em Faculty of Forest Sciences, Landscape Architecture and Environmental Engineering includes the most important aspects of landscaping, i.e. planning, arising, care, protection and management of green areas, as well as the most important aspects related to the environment following the modern trends and new engineering approaches and technologies in the protection of the nature and the environment, primarily in the protection of soil and water, the optimal use of spatial resources, as well as the management of protected areas (from various aspects: nature protection, aquatic ecosystems protection etc.) which require the creation of appropriate staff to respond to these challenges.

New trends, EU directives as well as technical knowledge in the field lead to and impose the need to integrate them into the second cycle curricula.

The Landscaping and Improvement of the Environment study program enables the students to deepen their knowledge and skills in order to be educated in accordance with their affinities and the current needs of the economy and other social institutions. The study program will enable the creation of staff who after becoming a master will become part of the institutions and the economy, and who will bring innovation and creativity in the realization of practical problems, as well as improving the quality and capacity of institutions and businesses operating in the field of the environmental protection.

At the same time, the masters from this study program will be able to be included in the public administration whose functions are related to the field of environment, education and science, but also in consulting, design and production companies that deal with problem solving in the field of the environment.
